East Coast, Elevated: Inside the PartySlate Summit in NYC
Photography by Afrik Armando LLC
This spring, Lavish Haus Events had the pleasure of attending the PartySlate Summit: East Coast in New York City, a premier gathering for the most talented minds in the event industry. Hosted by PartySlate, the summit brought together over 600 top-tier professionals from across the East Coast for two days of elevated programming and networking. From hands-on learning to immersive design showcases, this exclusive event allowed premium PartySlate members to collaborate, share insights, and celebrate innovation in event design. We were thrilled to be part of the summit’s educational day and left feeling more inspired than ever.
Industrial Chic Reimagined
Held in Brooklyn’s Industry City at The Box Factory, the setting transformed from a raw industrial space into a lush and luxurious environment, balancing its warehouse grit with elegant detail. Vibrant green furniture and vivid pink florals softened the exposed space, while a striking black and white PartySlate-branded backdrop anchored the main stage. Tables were adorned with BBJ La Tavola linens, featuring playful textures in matching shades of blush and verdant green, tying the entire aesthetic together. The result was a bold yet cohesive space that effortlessly blended edge with sophistication.
Powerful Perspectives on Partnership
Educationally, the summit delivered compelling and thought-provoking discussions with standout programming that sparked meaningful dialogue. One panel we particularly enjoyed was “Collaboration Over Competition,” featuring Afrik Armando, David Landgraf of Make It Happen Management, and Mike Warren of The Plaza New York. Bringing together a photographer, a planner, and a luxury venue, the panel explored how meaningful partnerships can elevate the client experience and build stronger business foundations. Their conversation emphasized the importance of trust, communication, and shared creative vision across different disciplines. It was a refreshing look at how mutual respect and collaboration, rather than competition, can lead to long-term success in this industry.
A Menu That Matched the Moment
The culinary experience, provided by Constellation Culinary Group, mirrored the creative excellence of the event, delighting guests with a perfectly themed and colorful spread. Fruit-infused waters and iced refreshments greeted us on arrival, followed by an elegant array of mini quiches, coconut yogurt, lavender agave madeleines, and fresh fruit. Later in the day, snack offerings included delicate puff pastries, kiwi berry and lemon meringue tarts, and a stunning Eton Mess. Each dish felt intentional and artful, echoing the event’s overall color palette of pinks and greens while also adding their own touch of red and blue. We left with renewed appreciation for how elevated cuisine can enhance both the guest experience and the event's visual storytelling.
We at Lavish Haus are grateful to have joined such an inspiring group of professionals in New York and to have participated in conversations that continue to shape the future of our industry. We are already looking forward to PartySlate’s next summit and to continuing the connections sparked during this unforgettable experience.
